The Export Control and Customs Senior Specialist Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the timely export control and customs classification of goods and technology maintaining data and supporting the export control and customs compliance program to ensure that the national international and the internal company regulations are observed and effectively integrated into the internal business processes for the Montreal Energy Location
The Specialist will be responsible to develop policies and procedures for this location and ensure full alignment with the Internal Export Control and Customs program as well as all legal requirements
In this role the Specialist will work with the corporate compliance team divisions and affiliates to provide expert guidance and support with regulatory inquiries and various tasks including analyzing reviewing and maintaining material master export control customs and product technical data
This position will be responsible for preparing and submitting all export permit applications for the Montreal Energy Location
Additional tasks include providing French language expertise and support for all areas of the Export Control and Customs Program
Additionally the Specialist will develop and execute training programs specific for the Energy Location This position will be located in Montreal
5 7 years experience in the Canadian and US export and export control compliance
Applied knowledge of the Canadian and US exportre-export laws the IEPA CGP the EAR the Canadian Export Control List and the US Commerce Control List
Knowledge of EXCOL Knowledge of the Canadian and US customs regulations
Ability to analyze and interpret regulatory and technical informationdata
Ability to analyze business processes to incorporate the compliance requirements effectively and efficiently
Ability to interact effectively with internal and external business partners
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel Access Outlook Power Point SAP knowledge College or University Degree CCS or other foreign trade professional certification
