 We are currently looking for an exceptional individual to join our team for a Five (5) month full time contract role as a Junior Buyer.

 The position of Junior Buyer is responsible for the procurement and management of inventory as it supports the Supply Chain Management stocking strategy. This will include working operational issues with suppliers, providing strong customer service and maintaining data accuracy in the SAP system. The Junior Buyer will be empowered to negotiate and resolve issues as they relate to their assigned accounts. Teamwork both within the department and with their peers is necessary to ensure achievement of overall team goals.

 Responsibilities:

Cut manual PO’s;

Place PO’s for stocked skus in accordance with stocking strategy;

Manage inventory – both in and out;

Manage backlog;

Track price protection and submit claims;

Manage costs in SAP

Reconcile Inventory / AP discrepancies;

Rectify receiving issues/over shipments made to drop ship clients and warehouse;

Correct Shipment Errors;

Cancel Open PO’s for product;

Negotiate with suppliers as needed;

Follow up and close open issues with suppliers;

Manage shippable report from suppliers;

Develop new/alternative suppliers;

SKU maintenance;

Process CTO requests;

Process partial shipments.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (B. A Major in Purchasing, Materials or Supply Chain Management preferred;

2 Years experience in Supply Chain or Purchasing environment. IT industry a plus.

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and in French;

Organization, time management, solid problem solving and strong customer service skills required;

Able to build both internal and external relationships effectively;
